Arenys de Mar is one of the main municipalities of Maresme in Barcelona, situated between San Vicenc de Montrait and Canet de Mar; the name of this municipality comes from the Catalan (Arenys means sands and mar means the sea). Arenys de mar harbor has been the only existing port on the north of Barcelona for several years.
